St. Nicholas Methodist Church is located within Topsham and has existed since it opened on the present site since 1867. The methodist church is included within the 'Exeter Coast and Country Circuit' and the 'Plymouth & Exeter District of the Methodist Church'. St. Nicholas Church was built by the Holman family, who were local Topsham ship owners, and they dedicated the church to Saint Nicholas due to him being the patron saint of sailors.
The church offers a Sunday service each week at 10:30 am as well as allowing local groups to utilise the space through the week, including for Topsham Rock School, Yoga, and the Vintage Market.
Part of The Methodist Church in Britain, The Exeter Coast and Country Circuit includes a total of twenty-seven churches, plus an ecumenical church in Cranbrook, which is just east of the city of Exeter.
