You can claim Funeral Payment benefits in a number of ways.
If you have qualified so far, then you can make a claim by contacting your local Jobcentre Plus or simply by phone. Further details can be found on; www.gov.uk. Remember, you must apply for your benefits within 3 months of the death. You can even make a claim before the funeral, as long as you have a full invoice from the funeral director, an estimate of costs will not suffice.
